Need Repossession taken off my credit?
ByHi,
My story is unique. I was financing a vehicle with wells fargo auto finance. It was totaled….. and i didnt have insurance at the time. Listening to my father(i didnt tell him i didnt have insurance. I parked the car in a private owner body shop lot ( charges 20 per day) I was hoping the lady responsible for the accident insurance company would come and take liability. well they never did and the body shop lot called wells fargo and told them to get the vehicle and they paid him off. Now im stuck with a REPOSSESSION on my credit, BUT I MADE ALL MY PAYMENTS ON TIME FOR 1 AND 6 MONTHS TO WELLS FARGO. Is this legal….and how can i go about getting this taken off credit report. The car was totaled, and they still sold it…….but it wasnt repossessed because i didnt make my payments …….please help with good answer anyone

My car went in to the shop for repair while still under warranty. The financer then took repossession? I have not missed payments. He just said he no longer wanted to do business with me. How does a voluntary repossession affect your credit? Here is the deal. I have a $535 per month car note. I can afford it, but I would love to get a lower payment so that I can pay some principle down on my home. The new car note would be $237 or less. Thats ~$298, approximately back...

contact all three of the credit bureaus and dispute it with them. This is your only option, really. If you put it on record that your car was taken due to an accident and you were never given the option to pay then it will be said on your credit record and you will not be harmed by it. You can’t dispute Wells Fargo, but you can have statements added to your credit report over these issues so that when your credit is checked again they will see that you were harmed in the incident, not the creditor. It does help, I’ve done it.
In fact, the best thing you can actually do is to get into another car payment right away. This will balance out the bad credit. It will fall off your credit in 7 years, so don’t give it too much thought after that. Good Luck.
don’t remember the other site, but one of these will have a link to it on their site.

You can use credit repair agency to fix your credit - for example this one - - They can clean lots of bad stuff from your credit report - and do it much faster than yourself, so your credit will go up fast.
