How much of a rent reduction can you get with a retail sublease?

That all depends on the price they can get for the unit.. They might actually ask for more. Also the landlord has to ok any subleasing..

I work in a commercial real estate office. We do assignments for sold businesses quite frequently but they don’t get a reduction in rent. The only way they get any kind of free/reduced rent is if we do a new lease in place of an assignment.
