I would think so. But possible roadblocks might be your landlord or local city ordinances that prohibit it.

2

Why not ask the landlord and cover your bases so he doesn’t have it towed not knowing who’s car it is?

You would have to check with the city in which you reside. Some city have ordinances that prohibit cars with for sale signs on the to be parked in public commercial areas.

The thinking is that if one car has a for sale sign then others would eventually park there thus starting a used car lot.

You may call the city ask for the Ordinance Department. They might simply send you a pamphlet as to what the laws are in the city.

There are certain areas in the city in which I reside that you might not park a car with a for sale sign on it. I reside in California also.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

Depends on your lease terms and local ordinances. Only you know the specifics.

Not in most cities, you need to check with local laws. Most of them require you to have a license to sell your car on commerical property.

Your landlord has nothing to do with this, it is a criminal law, not civil.
