Does the price of retail space fluctuate seasonally?

I’m going to be opening a retail space in/ near Long Beach Ca.
My business is not likely to have a huge change in sales due to Christmas.
So, if it’s not critical to be open by Christmas, can I wait till after Christmas to sign a lease and expect to get a cheaper rate per month? My thought is that more people are trying to start retail businesses before Christmas, placing a demand on space. Then after Christmas there will be more businesses shutting down due to the drop off in sales. So I thought there might be a glut of space available in January driving the average price per foot down.
Is this reasonable, or is the reality different?

I only need 800 sq ft. Is the landlord only going to charge me for what I need? Which at $24 sq ft, would come out to 1600 a month, rather than 3200 for the whole space.

How do you lease space in DownTown Disney?

I’m trying to find out who to contact or where to contact about possibly leasing any available retail space in Downtown Disney (CA) - does anyone have a number or website they can direct me to? I know the spaces are full, but I would like to try to at least get on a waiting list.

Finding/leasing retail space in airports?

I’m interested in starting my own business and would like to begin in airports. I’m only looking for space for a small kiosk for now, but eventually will expand into an actual “store” space. I’m having trouble finding out how I can get set up. Does anyone know who I can contact about finding/leasing retail space in airports?

I rented a retail space that had mold before we signed the lease?

Knowing about mold and causes, it was put in the lease agreement that all mold would be removed. After they “treated it” we had a mold specialist come out and take a sample and there is still mold. They said they feel they treated it correctly, which we knew was not. They are willing to make us happy but legally how far can we go with treatment if they are not willing to treat it correctly.

How to get estimate for retail space build-out?

I’m trying to estimate start-up costs for a business occupying a 1700 sq ft retail space. I need this info for financing. Will a contractor(s) provide estimates even if I haven’t signed a lease? Are there any costs that are somewhat “standard”, for instance approximately how much does it cost to have a drop-down ceiling installed for x sq ft?
