Should I forge our apartment lease to get the gas turned back on?

The lease holder of our apartment hasn’t paid the gas bill, and the gas has been shut off, which means no hot water, heat or stove. She does not live here anymore, nor is she in the area. The gas company won’t let us put a new gas bill in another name without lease in our names. The landlord is not very accessible and is on an extended vacation so we have no way to get a new lease anytime soon. I’m tired of taking cold showers.

I have a retail store with one year left on my lease. I am wondering when would be a good time to start talks with the landlord. Should I wait for another 3 months or perhaps 6 months? Or should I let it be known I want to extend it now?

I am thinking of leasing a retail space (approx 1000 square feet) to open a retail business. I heard that i need to have a good credit. Is this “good credit score” in credit report that the landlord will look at? or is it more than good credit score? thanks

I anticipated getting an apartment in Cedar Hill, Texas (Dallas area) and put down a security deposit with the landlord. Well, my job offer fell through hence I do not need to move. The landlord is refusing to return my money, and has not stated a reason why. I have not signed a lease, and i did not sign any security deposit contracts stating it was non-refundable. The apartment was held for 60 days but I have not seen anything that would give the landlord the legal right to keep my money. Please help!

I went into a residential lease agreement for 2 years. I vacated the house after a year, giving 2 months notice to the landlord as per agreement. Its been more than 4 months now and he is yet to pay back my lease amount, but demanding for the house keys. Am I obliged to give the house keys before he had settled the amount?
Am staying in India, so kindly I need legal advice according to Indian Law.

I own and lived in one side of a duplex in Santa Clara County, CA.. Moved to Washington for two years and now am returing to CA and want to terminate the annual lease with my tenant to allow me to move back into the duplex as my primary residence again. I have researhed the CA Civil Code but did not find any provisions that address this action. Besides approaching the tenant to agree in writing that they will be willing to vacate and provide 90 day notice….what remedies do I have and what legal provisions can I reference?

Can I demand for interest from the landlord, even though in the agreement he has mentioned that he would not pay interest if the payment get delayed?

Can get my deposits back if i signed a lease for office space and my landlord has not?

I went down to sign the lease and gave them a cashiers check. I signed they did not. They are now coming up with more costs and do not want to continue. Can they keep my depsoit?
