lease back

The lease holder of our apartment hasn’t paid the gas bill, and the gas has been shut off, which means no hot water, heat or stove. She does not live here anymore, nor is she in the area. The gas company won’t let us put a new gas bill in another name without lease in our names. The landlord is not very accessible and is on an extended vacation so we have no way to get a new lease anytime soon. I’m tired of taking cold showers.

If you are morally opposed to private gun ownership, there’s no way you’d own a shop, so I’m not really asking you!

I’m asking people who have no problem with people selling guns: how you would guess having that role in such a tragedy would change your life make you reconsider the way you make a living?
Good answers–I’ll pick the best one soon. I’d probably sell the location and open up in another town though–I don’t think I’d want to deal with the people who’d surely be coming by to give me grief about it.
Ignore the thumbs-down I’m about to pass out. Even the worst answers here weren’t that bad–I’m just having trouble sorting through to pick the best one, so it helps to eliminate a few. (It doesn’t hurt your points, it just helps me organize–please don’t get mad about it.)

If you sell something to a pawn shop, do you get the money the same day?

We make home made dog treats and a local pet shop wants to sell them. How do i work out what to sell them to them at? It costs me £25 in total for ingredients and the dough makes approximately 250 treats, working out at 10p per treat if my maths is right!

retail lease

I have a retail store with one year left on my lease. I am wondering when would be a good time to start talks with the landlord. Should I wait for another 3 months or perhaps 6 months? Or should I let it be known I want to extend it now?

What can I do legally? The previous owner says the bank does not have to honor my contract. Is this true?

sell shop

We are thinking about starting a small shop in our dog grooming shop and are wondering what products are the ‘hot sellers’ in other people’s shops. We would definately sell the most commonly asked things: brushes of various kids to work with different coat and skin types, combs, and cologne.

We have tried to sell stuffed toys, tennis balls, rawhide bones and bandanna’s with absolutely no success after two years. We are located in a very small town so we need to be able to accomidate the middle class rank. Nothing too frilly or expensive would ever sell. (costumes, custom photography, dog furniture, ect.)

Any recommendations?
